AI Stats Monitor - Privacy Policy

At AI Stats Monitor, we believe your AI usage data is your business—and yours alone. This Privacy Policy explains how our macOS application handles your information.

1. Data Collection & Usage

AI Stats Monitor is designed as a client-side utility. This means the app communicates directly between your Mac and your AI service provider's servers.

Login Credentials: When you log in via the secure web interface, your session tokens are stored locally on your machine using the macOS Keychain. We never see, store, or transmit your password to our own servers.
Usage Data: The app fetches your session and weekly quota limits to display them in your menu bar. This data is stored locally on your Mac to generate your interactive charts and history.
Billing Information: While the app allows you to view your billing history, this data is pulled directly from your AI account and is not cached or stored by AI Stats Monitor beyond what is necessary for the current session.

2. Third-Party Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your data with third parties. Because AI Stats Monitor does not use a centralized backend server, there is no database where your personal usage patterns are stored. All data stays on your hardware.

3. Security

We leverage native macOS security features to keep your information safe:

macOS Keychain: Uses industry-standard encryption to protect your session tokens.
App Sandboxing: AI Stats Monitor operates within the macOS sandbox environment, limiting its access to only the files and resources it explicitly needs to function.

4. Data Retention & Deletion

Local History: Your usage history is stored locally. If you wish to delete this data, you can do so by clearing the app's cache or uninstalling the application.
Data Export: You maintain full ownership of your data and can use the JSON Export feature at any time to back up your history.

5. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the app's features or legal requirements. We will notify you of any significant changes via an in-app update.
